  • Do we have to pay a delivery or set-up fee?

NO, we deliver, set-up and collect free of charge within a 10 mile radius of Dumfries. We will deliver within a 20 mile radius of Dumfries, but will make a small extra charge for fuel expenses.

  • Do we need to pay a deposit?

NO, at Clowning Around we don't ask our customers to pay a deposit.

  • When are your delivery and collection times?

We try to be as flexible as possible and aim to deliver and collect at times suitable to you, the customer. However, if we have other hires the same day then we may have to drop off earlier, or collect a little later.

  • What happens after we make a booking?

We will send you confirmation of your booking details, along with a copy of our terms and conditions of hire, which we ask each customer to sign. If any of your arrangements eg. times, change before your event, then you should contact us as soon as possible with your amended details.

  • What are your payment methods?

We accept cash or cheque upon delivery.

  • What if it's bad weather and we're having our party outdoors?

If we can't go ahead due to bad weather then we won't charge a cancellation fee. If you are concerned about the possibility of bad weather, then we recommend you book an indoor venue, eg. community centre or village hall, in order to ensure your event can go ahead.

  • Do your inflatables fit indoors?

Yes, all of our inflatables should fit in community centres/village halls/etc, although it's always a good idea to check the dimensions of your indoor venue, particularly the ceiling heights, and ensure the ceiling is at least 1 foot higher than the inflatable. If you are unsure of how to go about booking an indoor venue, then please contact us, as we have a comprehensive list of indoor venues and contact telephone numbers for booking each venue.

  • What about supervision of children using the inflatables?

We are only responsible for setting up the units, not for their supervision during use. Therefore, it is essential that all inflatables are supervised by at least 1 responsible adult (2 for slides), and this should help to ensure that your event runs smoothly and safely.

  • Do you hold public liability insurance?

Yes, we hold £1,000,000 public liability insurance, which covers our company for any civil claim made against us due to defective or badly installed equipment. However, it is very important to understand that our insurance does not cover you or anyone else if an accident occurs under normal operating conditions.
